The Distinctiveness of Jews
The justification for antisemitism, which ultimately culminated in the madness of the Holocaust, has always been the claim that Jews possess something special, that they are somehow different from everyone else. In reality, Jews are like everyone else. If we consider, for example, the Jews who have had the greatest influence on our civilization, such as Karl Marx, Sigmund Freud, and Albert Einstein, do we find anything that identifies them as Jews? The same applies to the countless other Jews who live among us.
What truly identifies them is the fear of being persecuted.
