The Palestinian Question

In my view, the essential point of the entire Palestinian question is the recognition of Israel: if one believes that Israel can be destroyed, then one moves from one catastrophe to another. It does not even matter whether this is right or wrong: it is NOT possible. If Hamas and others want to destroy Israel, it is inevitable that Israel will defend itself. Since this is not a matter of fighting armies in the open field (as in the three wars of the last century), everything ends in an endless catastrophe. It is not a matter of choice, but of the logic of things.
