America's Historical Role

Centuries from now, historians will likely look back on our era and identify three major threats to humanity: Nazism, Communism, and Islamic fanaticism. They will also conclude that the United States played the historic role of containing or defeating them.

I understand that some people still regard Communism as a force for good. However, that view has long since been abandoned in our part of the world. It is a matter of historical fact—not merely my personal opinion—that this idea has been largely superseded.
