Millionaires

I observe that the world in which around 200,000 people are wealthier than everyone else is also the world in which poverty is lower than it has been in any previous era. Since, according to my values, this is a good thing, I conclude that the world we live in is the best one that has been achieved so far.

We can, of course, debate whether the absence of the super-rich would be beneficial or harmful to the rest of the world. Opinions on that question will differ. I am simply pointing out an observable fact.
