Freedom of Nations

For some, a state would be truly free if it did whatever it wanted without taking international economic and political consequences into account.

If that is the definition, then we are not free countries.

However, I would define such governments as irresponsible, reckless, leading their countries to ruin. It would be like me no longer going to work because I prefer going on vacation: certainly I would be making an act of freedom, but I would also drive my family into poverty.
