Religions in the world

No single religion has prevailed worldwide. Not only are there many religions, but each of them is further divided into a range of different components.
In Hinduism and Buddhism there is not even the idea of orthodoxy; Islam is torn by conflicts between Shia and Sunni, between moderates and fundamentalists of all tendencies.
In Christianity there is a certain unity (Catholics and Orthodox Churches) with many different positions, and then a great variety among Protestants and evangelical sects.
