Hamas

Their actions are not madness but consistency. For Hamas (fundamentalism), the war against Israel is a holy war (willed by God). Those who die in it (martyrs) go directly to paradise. If the believers prove themselves worthy, God will grant them victory, and Islamic civilization will be reborn and, over time, will conquer the entire world.

If we do not understand this mentality (as generally happens in the West), we understand nothing about the events in the Middle East.
