The Role of Women

We are inclined to think that male chauvinism relegates women to the role of housewives, but in reality this role was universally accepted in the past. Only in the modern world, with the collapse of infant mortality and technological progress (washing machines, refrigerators, cars), has space opened up for women to take on other roles.

The question that arises today is whether the dramatic decline in birth rates depends on an excess of this role equality, which puts motherhood in conflict with women’s desire for self-fulfillment (Giorgia Meloni cannot be a mother).
