Natural Resources
What matters is not natural resources but the
ability to exploit them.
Many people think it is enough to take the oil: first you have to find it, then
extract it, transport it, refine it, distribute it on the roads, and have cars
to use it.
That is why, for one liter of gasoline, only 6 cents go to the country where the
deposits are located; the rest is the cost of production.
Who would ever wage a war to save those 6 cents?
