World Government

It seems to me that a world governed by a single democratic government in peace would be preferable to the heated nationalisms that lead to wars. Now, if there truly were a world government, we would have neither Gaza nor Ukraine at war.

Universalism, however, does not mean flattening everything into a single ideology: even now, within a state there are very different positions that confront one another peacefully.

The problem is that, at least in our time, a United Nations that truly functions does not exist.
