Nazism in Ukraine

The Russians speak of the “nazification of Ukraine,” which is certainly propagandistic exaggeration. However, it is true that Ukrainian nationalists in the Second World War (led by Bandera) sided with the Nazis. At least in Ruthenia (Lviv Oblast), when people talk about partisans, they refer to Bandera’s followers, who were anti-Russian.

In any case, there were also groups until recently that referred to that figure, now disappeared or silenced—I’m not sure.

One cannot speak of Nazism in Ukraine, but rather of a strong nationalism that often leads them to ignore or falsify history, somewhat like what happens in Italy with the Risorgimento.
