Good and Evil
Who decides what is good and what is evil?
Science determines what is true and what is false based on experiments that
anyone can verify: until other experiments falsify a theory, it is considered
true.
In the ethical-political sphere, this is not possible, and so every civilization
has its own ethical vision, which can also change greatly over time. For example,
only in our civilization does monogamy exist, although until some time ago it
was largely formal. Today things have changed: monogamy is becoming established
throughout the world, and here women do not at all accept their husband’s or
partner’s infidelities.
Now, laws generally follow the prevailing ethical outlook, and this actually
happens both in democracies and elsewhere.
