Russian Invasion of Europe
It seems to me that, in reality, no one presents any evidence suggesting there could be a reason for a Russian invasion, nor that Russia has the strength for it. On the other hand, even in the times of the USSR, despite the overwhelming superiority of the Red Army, it was not possible—especially because of nuclear weapons. Yet a possible reason could be hypothesized: the Baltic republics were once part of Russia and are now in NATO. To rebuild its unity, Russia might consider invading them. However, it seems impossible to me that this will happen.
The real danger, it seems to me, is what Mattarella hypothesized: that a war could break out without anyone wanting it. This is what we should take seriously.
