Democracy and Good Governance
One should
not confuse good governance with democracy: if we are supporters of democracy,
we also believe that it is the best form of government. But there can be good
and bad governance both within democracy and outside of it.
In the past, there was no democracy, yet there were many good governments, and
this can also be true in the present.
