Our Constitution, like all modern ones, enshrines religious freedom: just as Catholic processions are not prohibited, so too should demonstrations of other religions be permitted.
In fact, the Catholic Church is not opposed to this.
Those who object, however, are those who see the Catholic religion as an aspect of national identity. But I believe that our modern national identity is one of non-discrimination between believers and non-believers, and among the various religions.
