Equality Before the Law
To say that everyone is equal before the law is something no one denies; it's a truism, like saying the sun rises in the morning.
What has been debated for 30 years, just about everywhere, is something else entirely: do judges and prosecutors (sometimes, only sometimes) overstep into the political arena or not?
In other words, we could ask: is justice the same for politicians, or are they being prosecuted for crimes they clearly haven't committed?
This problem needs to be addressed.
