Nobody thinks a politician can replace a magistrate, but it's crucial to distinguish the political sphere from the judicial sphere, which is generally easy to see.
It seems entirely evident to me that the accusations of kidnapping against Salvini or complicity with Almasri are stretches, so much so that acquittals always happen in the end.
Could anyone seriously believe that a court would ever send Salvini or Meloni to jail? Something like that has never happened.
Accusations concerning personal matters, such as fraud, violence, etc., are a different issue altogether.
