Islamic Veil
To us, it appears to be discrimination, a subordination of women that would conflict with the principle of gender equality. However, for the Islamic world, it can be seen as a way to protect and guarantee women: in short, a measure in favor of, and not against, women. I would then say that the choice should be up to the women themselves: if they want to wear it, they should be able to, but it must not be imposed by the community.
