Western Societies
I don’t believe Westerners are better, kinder,
or even more intelligent than others—they have simply built, through science and
technology, a more prosperous society.
Perhaps one day, Congolese people will be at the forefront of science, and we
Italians will go study at their universities.
In short, if I could have chosen where to be born, I would have chosen today’s
West.
I also see that vast numbers of people risk everything just to take the lowest
positions in the West, and I don’t see any boats making the journey in the
opposite direction.
