Magistrates
Magistrates are the only professional category
that is not held accountable for their actions (perhaps teachers as well).
In fact, Lo Voi pursued a case for five years without any foundation, as later
ruled by the court, and instead of being sidelined, he was even appointed head
of the prosecutor's office in the capital.
Magistrates advance in their careers based on seniority, and the most important
positions are assigned according to political affiliations (as Palamara has
shown).
