The Right to Abortion
It is
a right only if the fetus is not yet considered a human being; otherwise, it is
infanticide. This — and only this — is the point.
We have no truly objective criterion to define this issue. In the laws, we have
decided that it becomes a child only after a certain amount of time, three
months — though who knows why.
Now, it happens that if a woman considers what she is carrying in her womb to be
a child, then the strongest instinct in nature is triggered: motherhood.
If, on the other hand, she does not consider it a baby, then she may choose to
have an abortion. This is why anti-abortion advocates have proposed making the
heartbeat audible.
It is not a matter of morality or religion, but simply a problem that has no
objective solutions.
